Records daily transactions at a general store run by Chambers from 1827 to 1830. Although Chambers specialized in ceramics, fabrics, and sewing items, a wide range of products was available to his customers, including shoes, sugar, molasses, candles, table linen, butcher knives, lusterware, earthen pitchers, rakes, flax, flannel, silk, cashmere, muslin, calico, gloves, cotton stockings, quills, turpentine, boards, plates, and bed cord. Chambers accepted products and services as payment. One customer was given credit for making shirts, collars, and other articles of clothing, and another by hauling. Many types of foods were listed in the volume as received and sold by Chambers.
